The short version
Vortex Tickets is a participant in affiliate programs with major ticket marketplaces. When you click a link to one of those marketplaces from our site and complete a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
Affiliate revenue does not influence our editorial coverage. We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews, and we do not allow advertisers to dictate what we write about or how we write about it.
Who we partner with
We currently participate in or have applied to affiliate programs with the following ticket marketplaces:
- Vivid Seats
- Gametime
- TickPick
- StubHub
- SeatGeek
- GoTickets
These relationships are managed through affiliate networks including Impact.com and Partnerize. The list above may be updated as partnerships change.
How affiliate links work on this site
When we link to a ticket marketplace in an article, that link may include a tracking identifier that tells the marketplace the visitor came from Vortex Tickets. If that visitor goes on to buy a ticket within the tracking window (typically 24 hours to 30 days, depending on the program), we receive a commission.
The price you pay does not change. The marketplace pays the commission out of its own margin. You receive no different treatment, and your purchase is identical to one made by any other visitor to the site.
How we decide what to recommend
We recommend marketplaces and individual listings based on three factors, in order of importance:
- All-in price — the final cost after fees, not the advertised pre-fee price
- Guarantee strength — whether the marketplace has a real buyer protection policy and whether it honors it
- Inventory and seat quality — whether the marketplace tends to have good seats available for the events we cover
Affiliate commission rate is not on this list. Marketplaces pay different commission rates, and we have specifically chosen not to factor those rates into our recommendations. If we tell you TickPick is the cheapest all-in price for a given event, it's because we checked.
What we will not do
- We will not write a positive review in exchange for affiliate placement
- We will not hide negative information about a partner marketplace
- We will not steer readers to a higher-commission option when a lower-commission option is genuinely better
- We will not publish "sponsored" content disguised as editorial
